One Last Tear For You My Love - photograph
June 6, 2009. This photo, which is on RB, was just awarded the “Viewers Choice Award” at Watson Studio Gallery, Johnson City, Texas, USA. It was chosen as a finalist in the comp “Flower Power” but did not win overall phot. I was advised that I was the first overseas winner. I am chuffed.
Black and White awards
Two of my black and white images received merit awards in the American B and W magazine single image contest. Issue #64, out in Feb, features the images “Old Shed – Tasmania” and “Scudding Clouds – Moonlit Sea”- both of which are on RB.
“Scudding clouds-” was taken at 3am with a 30 second shutter speed and has always been one of my favourites

Sold another laminated print of “Lake Wollumboola Reflections” today. This is the third sale of this image on RB. It has also been very popular in my gallery.

Red Bubble page listing exhibitions of RB members
I feel there is a promotional opportunity for Red Bubble and artists. My suggestion is a central page/area on RB where members only can publicise any exhibitions they are involved in. I have found a few references in the past on RBubbler exhibitions but it is a bit hit and miss in most instances. I only noticed an exhibition featuring Clare McClelland because I have her on my watchlist.

A few weeks ago I inserted a click-on link on my web pages at The Photo And Artz Works Gallery which I own in Culburra Beach to direct people to RB for on-line sales. I have also mentioned RB in an advert placed in a local magazine. The link to RB will also be included in any of my new business cards.

Keep the Pollies Out
I did a search for my own gallery web page on google and noticed my ranking had slipped. It had well and truly been overtaken by web pages (under art or photography search) by web pages run by some of our federal politicians featuring pics of themselves.
Pleeeeeeeeeeease Red Bubble, don’t let this happen here. Keep the pollies out. Keep this site for the real people interested in art and ph…
