I am a Mexican/Spanish writer, photographer and journalist, born in Mexico, currently working in Spain.

My work is centered on the expression, emotions, sensations and feelings of women, and the exploration of beauty in the widest sense, not bound by commercial or media perceptions of how a woman “should” be, but rather focusing on how women are in front of the camera. I’ve spent a lifetime amazed at femaleness.

I have been a photographer for more than 30 years, and I’ve focused on this kind of images for the past 8 years. Previously, I worked in promotional and advertising photography. I’m currently working basically on my personal photographic creation

As a writer, I have nine published books in Mexico, novels, short story collections and journalistic investigations, and I’m present in a large number of anthologies and collective books in mexico, the US, Spain, France, Argentina, Italy and other countries.

My photographic website is at http://www.noccom.com and my personal page is at http://www.mauriciojose.com. I also have a couple of blogs and a weekly radio show, all in Spanish.
