First of all -
CRITIQUE IS ALWAYS MORE THAN WELCOME! I WILL BE HAPPY TO KNOW THAT YOU LIKE A PHOTO BUT EVEN HAPPIER TO KNOW HOW TO IMPROVE!!

ABOUT MY WORK

As a photographer, what usually attract me the most are the fundamental aesthetic properties – shape geometry, composition, color, and texture. I try to think like a painter when I shoot and process my photographs.

I pay a great deal of attention to the technical quality of my works. Each and every individual photograph was taken with a high-resolution DSLR and fine-tuned with noise-reduction, sharpening, and chromatic abberation elimination algorithms in post-processing, so that the end result is sharp and rich in fine details (which sometimes cannot be appreciated in RedBubble’s page display) even in very large prints.

ABOUT MYSELF

By trade I am a computer scientist and engineer, I have PhD and work in the hi-tech industry.

At heart I have always been an artist.

In fact, I was a musician since early childhood. Alas, the muse slowly shifted as the years passed and I concentrated on my career.

But I still needed an outlet for my artistic urges.

Photography is also an old passion of mine. As a kid, I started with my father’s old Petri 7 and then moved on to various film and then digital compact cameras. But it was only in 2007 when I bought my first DSLR and started investing more time in improving my skills.

Photography to me is neither a profession nor a simple hobby. It’s a passionate challenge and a challenging passion.

And I want to share that passion.

I came here to RedBubble not to get rich in money, but rich in satisfaction, knowing that my work is appreciated and that hopefully someone decided to hang my work on his/her own living room wall.

I also want to absorb some of the passion of other people. Many of the works here are very inspiring. See you around!

Incredible first milestone - got featured!

YAY! / I’m thrilled that one of my photos has already been “featured” in a group and several others “favorited” at such an early stage of the game. / I’m still overwhelmed by the vast amount of great photographic art here at the Bubble. So many people, so many groups, and so little time, unfortunately…. / I can see the addictive potential of bubbling̷…
