Whiskeytown Lake, Redding, CA
Whiskeytown Lake, West of Redding, CA taken this morning 03/23/08. Heading West on HWY 299 from Redding CA, this is just a short and beautiful drive; well known due to the dedication in 1963 by President John F. Kennedy; this is gorgeous man made lake with excellent fishing. Species include but are not limited to Bass, Crappie, and Trout….Excellent swimming areas set aside for just that by the Parks department, and excellent camping available in well maintained camp sites. This is one site that you shouldn’t miss out on if you are in the Redding, CA area….........enjoy!
