This is what remains of a bottling plant in the garment district of Miami, Florida. The abandoned plant has become a canvas for street art, and is slowly being reclaimed by nature. The site is fenced; on this day a film crew was on-site and allowed me in to shoot. Normally it’s locked up tight.

Canon 5D MK II, Tamron 28-300 VC, 3 images AEB +/-2, handheld, processed in aperture and the photomatix plugin

I’m a Miami, Florida-based photographer. I and my camera try to get out as often as possible. These images are the result. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

If you like my images enough to buy them, please know that the income goes back into the art. Thanks for visiting!

Great shot! such a waste of a building

  • It’s a massive facility taking up an entire city block… quite impressive. The area it’s in has a number of abandoned buildings. I’m afraid the Miami Garment district isn’t what it used to be!

The garment districts in the US and Canada are not what they used to be – all made in CHina now (and usually badly made at that) Pity all the empty buildings couldn’t be made into shelters for the homeless

  • You’ll probably appreciate this image:
