A giant gash in the Earth in northern New Mexico is known as the Rio Grande Rift. This is one of the many views of the towering rift wall from the floor of the Rift. This image was captured near the confluence of the Rio Grande and the Rio Pueblo de Taos. This area is maintained by the Bureau of Land Management as a nature preserve.

This is a four-exposure, +/- 2 auto-braketed HDR, plus one auto exposure image edited in Aperture and Photomatix. Captured using a Canon 5D MKII, using a Tamron 28-300 VC lens.

I’m a Miami, Florida-based photographer. I and my camera try to get out as often as possible. These images are the result. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

If you like my images enough to buy them, please know that the income goes back into the art. Thanks for visiting!
