Artist's Description

One of the Curtis-Wright engines on a DC7B aircraft, with the external covers off for maintenance. The plane is a 1958 Eastern Airlines plane that is currently operating regular tour flights out of OpaLocka airport in Miami, Florida.

  • If you look closely at the reflection in the prop cone, you’ll see the nose of the aircraft with it’s original EAL livery! **

ALL PROCEEDS OF THIS IMAGE will be donated to the Historical Flight Foundation which restored this aircraft to operational status.

Image processed in Photomatix from three original images taken with a Canon 5D MK II using a Tamron 28-300 lens, set to AEB +/-2. Final processing in Aperture.
