Taken from the tip of the wing, this is a complete side view of a 1958 Eastern Airlines DC-7B owned by Historical Flight Foundation. The HFF is unique in that its Douglas Aircraft Co. DC-7B aircraft represents the only U.S. based, four engine, passenger prop-liner in operation today.

The most unique aspect of this image for me is the fact that the owner of the plane suggested that I walk (well, sort of crawl) out to the very tip of the wing to get this shot. Of course, I couldn’t refuse! I exited through the emergency exit under the word “Eastern.”

This plane is parked at Opalocka Airport in Miami, Florida.
