Alligators are cold blooded… so they don’t really like it when the temperature drops below 60. This chilly gator was sunning itself along the walkway at Shark Valley in Everglades National Park on a cool (55 degrees F) morning.
Captured in HDR using a Canon 5D, a Tamron 28-300 VC lens (at 300 mm!), and processed using Photomatix and Aperture.
The Shark Valley trail is about 50 miles West of downtown Miami along US 41, the Tamiami Trail.
