Montezuma’s Castle is a 1000 year old relic of the Senagua Indians. Now a National Monument (U.S. National Park Service), this cliff dwelling archaeological site is north Phoenix, Arizona in the Verde Valley.
This is one of the Southwest’s easiest cliff dwelling sites to visit, although access to the dwelling itself isn’t possible, the view is incredible from a well-tailored walking path.
I know the sky looks unreal, but this is an un-retouched image.
