This is the Gulf of Mexico side of Captiva Island on Florida’s west coast, USA. It’s a relatively calm September afternoon with waves lightly rolling in from the Gulf, churning sand and shells. You can see seagulls and willets foraging in the surf.
This image was captured using a Canon 5D MK II, three exposures at 65mm, ISO 400. Edited in Aperture and Photomatix to HDR in Black and White.
