Captiva Shore by njordphoto

Art Prints

Available to buy on…

This is the Gulf of Mexico side of Captiva Island on Florida’s west coast, USA. It’s a relatively calm September afternoon with waves lightly rolling in from the Gulf, churning sand and shells. You can see seagulls and willets foraging in the surf.

This image was captured using a Canon 5D MK II, three exposures at 65mm, ISO 400. Edited in Aperture and Photomatix to HDR in Black and White.

Thank you to my RedBubble patron who purchased a card of this on Jan 4!

I have a similar image taken a few minutes earlier using film rather than digital. You can see it here

captiva, florida, island, gulf coast, gulf of mexico, beach, sand, waves, shore, palms, ocean, sea, black and white, canon, tamron, hdr, seabirds, willets

I’m a Miami, Florida-based photographer. I and my camera try to get out as often as possible. These images are the result. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.

If you like my images enough to buy them, please know that the income goes back into the art. Thanks for visiting!
