Flow in the Forest
Thought I’d take the opportunity to shoot some local flowing water whilst in the Yarra Valley. This particular place is Cement Creek on the side of Mount Donna Buang.

Very nice John ..so cool after a hot day at work
John Robb replied
Thanks Caroline – it was a good few degrees cooler up in the hills today – nice weather for walking, relaxing, thinking about things and shooting.

A good photographer can turn their hand to anything not just one genre.
This is quite different for you John but you’ve once again impressed me with your ability with a camera.
This has all the elements that make a shot like this work. It’s sharp as a tack from front to back, the water flows “through” the image and it’s beautifully exposed where it needs to be. Well done.
John Robb replied
Thanks Boz – it’s always nice photographing something different and challenging yourself with new angles and ideas.

Cement Creek seems such an odd name for somewhere so beautiful. Really nicely done JR.
John Robb replied
Thanks Rhana, didn’t even break a sweat getting to the location :-)
Samantha Cole-...

Will do Sam.

blows you a raspberry
John Robb replied
grabs hold of the raspberry and hugs it tight… and lets it float back to you as a kiss

Gosh JR this is spectacular. A bit different to how it all looked in Feb. Really lovely stuff. Did you use your fancy filter?
John Robb replied
Just a polariser to get a richer green. This area wasn’t touched by the bushfires – but in Feb I suspect it would have been a trickle after a long hot summer..
Josie Jackson
So very beautiful John, love the soft water and all the colours on the rocks, really well done
John Robb replied
Thanks Josie, I tried not to alter things too much in photoshop – always tempting to dial up the saturation but i resisted
