Great work. It made me wonder if this was the result of a magicians trick gone very wrong.

Wonderful concept and composition, the starkness of the white is confronting.

  • John Robb replied

Thanks for your comment. I made the decision to go with a white and light feel for this – it’s interesting to me how death can sometimes be interpreted by the opposites of darkness or lightness.

How will I…? Hopefully with my feet still connected – not that I would know anything about it. An unusual and thought provoking piece John.

Ditto Bruce’s comment. How did you manage this one? It’s something we don’t really think about from day to day. Love the tones and the softness of the white.
    So well composed.

When did you start taking such cool portraits?! Please can you stop taking good pictures in EVERY genre, and leave a few for the rest of us to dabble with?!

Personally, I think you should have HDR’d it.

Nice work Makes a nice change to all thr gloomy dark pictures of the same location.
    Nice composition too.

  • John Robb replied

Thanks Didge, I processed this wanting to go light and white. It’s interesting to note that we fail to remember that other non-western cultures use white as their colour of mourning.

Brilliant. As my grandad used to say.. ‘we’re all going the same way’. Sadly I suspect the answer to the question may well be alone.
