I honestly do not know what inspired me to do this piece…it is just so surreal…I can’t explain it…

This is the 2nd time today I’ve seen a feminine figure with the extended neck. I’m not sure what to make of it, except I gives a sense of strength to the subject. Can you speak to how you view this ?
I think it is just canonical. Although you are right when you say it adds strength to the figure. A bit of a regalness I like to exaggerate with the feminine long neck. Females already are seen as having long, thin, graceful necks. I just wanted to exaggerate this feature to accentuate the femininity of these pieces…usually when I see extended necks (especially in ancient art) I automatically see an innate appreciation of the female form and it’s graceful aesthetic qualities….
