Gorgeous shot !
A magnificent and noble animals. I love mustangs and this is no exception. Beautiful clarity of details against the brilliant blue of the sea. I ahve enjoyed looking at your work.
aah, i am so jealous! :) i saw the horses but they weren’t at the beach that day. if they were, i’m sure i wouldn’t have gotten this close! :) i adore the Outer Banks and am always excited to see photos from there! :)
(now that i think about it, this might be a different herd, actually.)
Thanks to all for commenting on my work. I really appreciate the feedback. Nikki, I love the Outer Banks as well. Unfortunately, I have not been there since I took this image in the Spring of ’06. The herd was very predictable at that time. They meandered down to the beach between 9 and 10 each morning. I watched the herd for about an hour and fired away until I filled up nearly all of my memory cards. The photo of the stallion was taken at a respectable distance with a 300mm telephoto. Hope you get to OBX in the near future.
Awesome! Reminds me of the one…that killed by tourist:( Please add to the all of North Carolina Group.
The contrast with the sea is fantastic, great capture of a magnificient animal!!
