When I moved to Colorado. The sky was the first thing I noticed and it has been my first love of Colorado since. I am drawn to the rich colors of the sky at night and in the mornings.
I photograph almost everything from landscapes and flowers to cityscapes. I have travelled the west and spent months at red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas, Bryce canyon, Arches and the Front range near Boulder, Colorado.
I never fail to be awed by what I see before me. I am always gratefull for the gifts that are just outside my door.
In September, 2009 I began to use my Nikon D700 and a long lens to make panoramas and mosaics. A tripod and a special rotating pan head is used to take sequences of images. The sequence can be one row or many.
The result are images that can be printed the size of walls and larger.
If you are interested in a piece of art to cover a large area, I can supply that for you. The images can be printed on anything from paper to glass and steel or wood. The clarity still amazes me. Sensor size no longer matters nor does the shape of the image. I can create as I wish.
