John, for your first attempt at HDR you’ve done very well, excellent scene and I’m sure it will renovate really well! Excellent contrasts between the sky and the land.

oohh, We’ll take it…..our home didnt look any better when we took it and gave it a new facelift inside and out. Knocked down walls, had all the electrical wiring hanging from the ceilings…everything. And now for the past 15 yrs. it’s home sweet home. this place has promise, you picture shows it off nicely actually

this is a lovley image, I suppose the wind is one of those problems with any multi exposure image, but with most landscape shots the shutter speed is low that motion blur is allways a problem. I must admit that if you had not mentioned it I would probably not have noticed.

a very well executed hdr. they normally come out overcooked and super saturated but you have ridden the balance very well here.

I’m with the majority here my friend. I think you’ve nailed it beautifully, AND, it’s a delight I’ll certainly like to get my hands on to renovate, that’s for sure. Great work John!

A real doer-upper! Love it. Well done with the HDR – you’ve kept some of the shadows which gives it depth (too often HDR ends up 2 dimensional as all shadows are pretty much eliminated!!). You could add this to the Rusty Crusty and Falling to Bits Group – hint hint!!!
