Ben Avon
This anchor from the barque Ben Avon which went aground and was totally wrecked on this point 11th Nov 1903, the anchor was raised and erected by the Wairarapa Underwater Club in Dec 1969, to further public interest in New Zealands colourful maritime history.

thats an anchor!
when we go scuba diving, we occasionally find newer, smaller anchors lost by boats. and then we bring em up and sell em.
