I deeply respect you sticking it out with two special needs children. It must be overwhelming at times, but I would suspect that it eventually becomes a labor of love.

I so agree with Kevin. The fathers role never diminishes for a second and after all – if not our clones – our kids are definitely honest reflections of a part of what we are…..
You commitment to your children and to their challenges makes life so much more worthwhile.

My younger son who is 23 is also challenged with a rare condition called Homocystinuria, also known as Cystathionine beta synthase deficiency. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homocystinuria).
Despite all that – if there is a potion that works on every child – irrespective of age – it is LOVE!

You deserve so much respect as a Dad that wants to be a good Dad.

I know. Dealing with Ham when he was a kid was very challenging…... very testing. Sort of stretched our limits of patience…. but we conquered the challenges of the past with today’s achievements and know that we gave it our best, Our love for our children shall never reduce in its vastness and universiality.
