Soaking up the sun in Qld I am. Moved here about 3 months ago for various reasons. Orginally from Brisbane, but Perth was really home as I had lived there longer than anywhere else.

    Kazam NIGEL!

Very good exposure blending to get this scene juuuuust right.
What a great wall hanger this would make with its wonderful panorama of bright colours and lovely reflections all against a nice dark background.
Print it big, mount, matt and frame it, hang it on a feature wall and let your neighbours, friends and family drool about it. 8-)

Wow! That is an inspirational shot for me. Im just now getting into night photography and longer exposures, which I find a bit tricky, but also discovered there is NO way on earth you can do this without a tripod…..lol. This is a gorgeous night shot. The reflections in the water are perfect and the color combination is fabulous. Nice work!

  • Nigel Donald replied

Thank you Theresa very much appreciated. There are a few rules to follow! A real good solid tripod that wont move your camera (manfrotto) not cheap but worth the expense! a shutter release cable or a remote wo lock the shutter open. f16-f29. calm still water & exposure for a pic like this 45sec – 2min manual bulb, the longer the exposure the bigger the star effects off the lights. iso 100-400
