This is a static display at the entrance of North Weald Airfield. It was used as a WWII base and remained in the hands of the RAF until 1st September 1964.
It is now used for light aircraft as well a large number of restored planes including a Hawker Hurricane. It is one of only about five in existence cost £6 million to re-build and crashed only weeks after it’s first flight. It is now flying again and the pilot was ok, apart from a large hole in his bank balance!
I have played with the image to give the impression it is flying.
SOLD as a postcard to an artist on RB.
