Image of a fast train passing through Sawbridgeworth Station, Essex, UK. I took the image from the footbridge over the track and wanted to bring out the speed and sheer power of the train passing through.
Nikon D40X with Nikkor 18-55 zoom.
HDR created from one RAW file processed as three DNG files in Photomatix, adjustments in CS6 with some help from Topaz Filters.

train, fast, speed, power, station, sawbridgeworth, railway, track, platform, essex

My main interests are landscape, wildlife and sports events.
I use a Nikon D40X, a Nikon D60 and a Nikon D3100.
The lenses are either Nikkor or Sigma or a Tamron 60mm Macro. I also have a small collection of vintage cameras.
I hope you enjoy my photography and keep coming back for more, as I am constantly working to increase my portfolio.

OMGonzo Ted! Like something out of Agatha Christie – one of the finest illustrative photos I’ve seen in – oh – I’d say – maybe – the last 10 to 15 minutes (don’t want U to get a swelled head Ted) – But – one great top flight Book Cover Museum Quality snappy – I can almost hear the clackita clackita and feel the rush of its passing – the train’s passing not Ur pixy passing – that would be silly ~:0) VivaChas Hot Rod Art!

Sorry about the Ted – Nigel – I was talking to Ted and typed it – Ha! Proves I am a robotic-entity rather than a real boy – Double-Ha! – - – If we could edit our post within a few minutes of – the U’d have never known I wasn’t perfect – durn!!! Now I’m off to the dunny – hope U aren’t too disillusioned Nige – I’m so ashamed! ~:0) VivaChas Hot Rod Art!

  • Well if I ignore the Ted thing the above comment is a great compliment, thanks very much. I was trying to emphasise the speed and power of the train rushing through. I’m not at all disillusioned about you not being perfect, it is the imperfections that make us what we are, enjoy your trip to the dunny and take something to read, I always do.
