An image created from two photos taken at Duxford.
From what I have read:
The Supermarine Spitfire MKXIV was introduced towards the end of the war with better performance, but very few were built with only one squadron equipped with them by January 1944. The Messerschmitt Bf109 would have met the new Spitfire during battle and was a match for it’s performance.
Thanks to Colin J Williams Photography for help with layers for the prop blur on the Messerschmitt Bf109.
My image shows the Spitfire dodging the guns of the Messerschmitt which is still firing.
Nikon D3100 with Sigma 150-500 zoom for both shots.
Comments welcome on authenticity, composition and my attempts to create muzzle flash on the Messerschmitt.
