To border or not to border? September 21, 2007 I quite like having a border on my photos but I’m not sure if I should be doing this on RB. Thoughts? Be kind and say hello » Journal Comments Marcus Mawby about 9 years ago Hey Nicole, I suppose the biggest problems with borders on RB is the problems they might bring up with getting them printed, it is also the same problem we face with 4×4 and 5×4 crops coming out with white or black borders on cards etc. Nicole Pearce about 9 years ago Yep that’s what I was thinking, I guess we can’t have the best of both worlds, It is nice to see the image with border on the screen and then not have it for printing. I think I might avoid addiing borders for RB shots. Rich Gale about 9 years ago Nicole, I think for display on the screen they can look nice but for printing I would say not and as this site is about selling prints/cards then it has to be a no.Rich. Nicole Pearce about 9 years ago Thanks Rich I am thinking the same way now =) ellymae about 9 years ago yeah..but a boarder within a boarder doesnt always look so bad…sometime it just adds to the effect! =) Andrew Bosman about 9 years ago Go for it! I use them sometimes. I’ve had some prints done with borders and framed and they are fine….. just need to pick the right shot to use it on. :-) Nicole Pearce about 9 years ago Thanks for the thoughts everyone. I felt like my most recent shot “around the corner” needed a border as there is a lot of white. I guess I should leave it up the each shot and what looks best. Thanks again.
