no idea what to think
who is there
and who is not
play by ear
and learn the notes
every time it hits the spot
I’m finding friends
both new and old
rebuilding all
that once was lost
because my heart
was truely bold
paid the price
so high the cost
little hope left in me
of a time for us to be
because you’re there
and hiding still
a shadow ever
of me you’ve had your fill
but I am left with a giant hole
a you sized shape
not just a role
another man
can play the part
but within me
he does not start
the thing thats fire
the passion and dance
with power to inspire
and break my trance
so here I am
alive again
starting over
wanting to be your friend
loving but in another way
a drop of hope
that there just might be
finally a true someday
