Trio of Heavenly Blossoms by

Created with graphite pencils, and powdered graphite. Drawn on Strathmore Bristol 300 series paper. I like this paper because it is smooth and super white. It is thick also, which allows indenting to create texture.

so beautiful.. are those morning glorys?.. you have a wonderful talent !!

  • Thank you very much! So glad you enjoyed seeing it! These are actually Angel’s Trumpets. They are large flowers that hang upside down from their tree. I took a picture standing underneath them, and really liked the angle. So, that is what this work was based on.

Very beautiful work, Nicole! Nice to see that you also use Strathmore Bristol Paper…..and glad you mentioned the powdered graphite; I just bought some and am learning to use it in my drawings as well…..

  • Thank you so much for your comment, Joyce! I have just never found a better paper than the Strathmore bristol. I know you’ll enjoy using the powdered graphite. It really makes shading (especially large areas) so easy! :)

This is stunning, I used to grow Brugmansia in My garden in the UK, stunning blooms and that heady evening fragrance is just beautiful. Fantastic drawing!

  • Thank you so much for your comment, Phillip! I really appreciate it! These flowers are one of my favorites! :)
