My name is Nicole I. Hamilton, I am a self taught artist who enjoys working with graphite pencil, pastel chalk, and experimenting with photography. I first discovered I had a gift for drawing at the age of 14. Bored in class one day, I picked up a pencil and started sketching, and surprised myself when my sketch looked like the subject. I have been drawing ever since. I enjoy creating realism, and try to give my drawings detail and depth. I usually create drawings using a combination of graphite, charcoal, and occasionally, carbon.

People are the primary subject of my pencil art, although I have drawn animals and still life. I enjoy drawing people the most because I want to be able to capture their emotion in my work. The eyes are my favorite feature to render. This is quite a switch for me since I swore when I started drawing that I would never be able to draw people. Shows what time and practice can do I guess!

Currently, I specialize in drawing realistic graphite pencil portraits and creating original graphite art. Portraits can be commissioned from my website On line galleries of my commissioned portraits, celebrity art , and original works can also be seen on my site.

Photography is my other artistic outlet. I like getting up close and personal with common things, to reveal a different aspect. Like many photographers, I also like capturing the beauty in nature.

Some art in my gallery, such as the celebrity and private portraits are not for sale. To view all the works I have for sale please visit My Bubble Site
