The whole Baby is now up and running as a collective blog, whe users can sign up and post guest entries.
It will be, for now, moderated by me.
It takes only 2 minutes of your time to sign up and you…

The other day at the police station - Kuwait stories

Posted over 2 years ago

/ /
Two weeks back, we just came home from shopping hubby did something he has never done before (at least that’s what he says).
He tried to park in backwards with the new rental car we just had for one week at our Complex.
You know, they have a lot of huge cars in Kuwait but parking spaces are always small. And these are cornered by metal poles that hold the sunroof.

I hope you are happy

Posted over 2 years ago

Happy that you can ride your bike in the middle of the night down the Gulf road at full speed.
Happy that you could drive through the cold night air alone and have some freedom.
Happy that you didn’t get killed.

I really do so, because when you drove by, my night and my dreams were over.
And all I could think off until I got up was you.
So, I really hope you enjoyed your ride.
And all t…

Red Bull Flugtag

Posted over 2 years ago

Friday 2nd of November we had the first Red Bull Flugtag in Kuwait.
With Selfmade planes :)
I gotta admit, it was great :)
I had a lot of fun snapping happily all the Teams. I didn’t get Pro pictures and mine look all like the all took a nose dive (some flew 13 meters), but they are not bad for my tiny Casio ;)

So, if you are interested, go check it out (can’t post the pictures in here :(...

Faces of Souq Mubarakiya

Posted over 2 years ago

Last week I have been at Souq Mubarakiya. After I took one picture of a shop keeper, they couldn’t be stopped.
Many wanted pictures.

Here are the results, they’ll get the prints tomorrow.

(Don’t be too harsh on me, they are all lowlight snapshots, I know that. And my camera doesn’t like lowlight. But the prints look nice ;) )

I would love to copy /...

What bugs me today....or living in Kuwait is beautiful (?)

Posted over 2 years ago

Yesterdays news in the Arab Times leaves me with mixed emotions.

KOC (Kuwait Oil Company) organized a beach clean up at Abu Halifa Beach. The Kuwait Autism Center and a number of special needs schools participated in the exercise and it was supervised by KOC and the UAE diving society.
The event was held simultaneously in the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman as well.

It will be…
