My name is Nick Layton. I work in visual communication and Portrait photography.
For 16 years I worked at IBM, creating Marketing and Promotional Videos for IBM literally anywhere in the World. During that time, I was lucky to hone my Camera, Directing and Editing skills. And along the way, my camera went everywhere with me as Photography is something I am completely passionate about. For me, photography is about creating Art, and if anything I am trying to create a style that is unique.
I feel very strongly about the moment an image is recorded and the onus on the photographer to try to bring out something special from the subject. While I always look for the person behind the smile or a representation of what makes us different, beautiful, I don’t believe in pressuring or intimidation to get the shot. Styles range from candid through art to formal.
