    wow, excellent painting, love the expressive face hidden behind layers, and the dripping paint. haunting was the first word springing to my mind too. you say you don’t call yourself an artist, this painting I think would defend its place in any gallery.

    How best to capture a person – a moment, a picture, a symbol, a character? I’m inclined to think it’s easier for us to associate, to connect, when there remains a certain ambiguity. Your works have that by the bucket, and I love it. There’s an Australian artist named Godwin Bradbeer who you might like… don’t think he’s a bubbler.
