I was born and raised in Dublin, and have lived in London almost 20 years.
I take my inspiration from the psychological onslaught of living in a diverse and crowded city. Fleeting encounters, glimpsed truths, familiar faces, private moments – all these phenomena inspire and contribute to the images I seek to capture in paint. I’m especially motivated by a deep fascination with the human face, by its revelations and deceptions…or as a friend recently put it: “the ground zero of daily existence”.
