Milkdrop by Nick Bellette

Milkdrop happens to be the name of an awesome win-amp plugin, and quite a suitable name for this photo. Taken using a plate of milk, two dyes, an eye dropper, a bucket and tripod. For this shot I actually gave it a bit of an extra squeeze to get two drops going at once.

It was taken using a 40D with a EF-S 60MM USM macro. I considered using a circular polarizer but I’m glad I didn’t. I’d be taking more at the moment but my balcony is cast in shadow.

The only post processing applied over the image is a B&W filter and a slight contrast change.

f/2.8, 1/3200 sec. ISO-100
