“The artist’s job is not to succumb to despair but to find an antidote for the emptiness of existence.” – Midnight in Paris
Look around you, at this world we live in. It’s the same world that we all live in together, but we all see it in our own perspective and our own way.
This is what makes an artist: the way they see the world, and how they communicate this perspective to the world at large. For those who say the world is a dark and disparate world, I say they just have never taken the time to open their eyes. When I look at the world, I try to take away beauty, emotions, and awe. I hope that you can see some of this in my work.
For me, Art is a way to help me grow up. After graduating high school, flits of depression and isolation have overtaken me in a world that I felt utterly lost in. But, I find myself and happiness when I have the time to draw, photograph, and write.
We all have a story to tell; We all have a perspective to share; and we all have a life to live in its utmost happiness.
Thank you very much for stopping by.
