mark of a free woman

a friend told me
she had a friend who
never left home
without two things:

her keys
in case she came back

her passport
in case she didn’t

Currently unavailable for purchase

for some reason this has been rattling round my head lately

Feeling satisfied with a new photograph … that makes it a good day.

Very philisophical Nadine, it captures the mind of a confused woman -as many are.-cheers Alex

  • confused? perhaps. Or possibly more prepared for anything than most of us? anyway, thanks for your comment, alex!

I love that Nadine!! Blast – I never travel overseas these days….so no passport now! Does this say I am not free?

  • maybe I should change that to: ‘mark of an unpredictable woman’. Lou, I think you are free – just not able to travel overseas at the moment! lol. thanks for commenting

Now some guys would say the price is right, but not me! Never! :-))

  • probably just as well, brian! I’d keep it to that if I were you, judging from the women’s comments on this!! lol!

Do we have a free will? Some neurologists are in doubt. But if we answered the question with a no we would no longer be able to accuse someone for a crime. So, pretending to be free in decision is a basis for social life. Some (artists e.g.) make more efforts to pretend.

  • glad this little piece generated so much thought, thomas! (more than I expected!) seems like the women who have commented ‘get this’ more than the men for some reason! but thanks for reading and commenting
