I was absorbed in capturing the late afternoon light on the terracotta tiles in my kitchen when Watson came to see if something more interesting was happening dinnertime-wise.

Sadly, he’s not with us anymore but this is one of my favorite photos of him.

Leica, M9, 50mm lens, ISO160, f/4, 1/42 sec, handheld, cropped in photoshop and sides straightened using perspective tool

Feeling satisfied with a new photograph … that makes it a good day.

Ahhh! there he is, looking for mum …. best of both worlds Nadine, the warm late afternoon light and the warmth coming from Watson ….. elementary my dear Nadine!! :))

  • what a gorgeous comment, my dear friend! thanks so much. We called him Watson because he was clearly not going to be the brains of the family but would be a sturdy and loyal companion. Hope you are having a good day today!

Watson’s looking a tad camera shy lol – the light is wonderful on those tiles Nadine – hope your enjoying your weekend :)

  • thanks, trish – I think he is camera shy. I don’t think he likes the infrared burst of light – he usually gets up and moves away when I point the camera at him but the lure of noises in the kitchen at that time of day was just too much for the poor lad! Yes, good weekend – hope for you too!
