A lovely coastal image Nadine. All the very best to you this Christmas Day. Trish.
thanks so much, trish! merry christmas to you and yours!
Very good but to me appears a little over sharpened.
thanks for your thoughtful comment as always, fred – but it’s not sharpened at all, just a neutral density filter on the sky to bring out the pink on the right. It’s just that gorgeous Velvia film. Looking at it again, though, I think I made it too dark! Merry Christmas, fred to you and your family. Have a wonderful day!
woop I’ll be around there very soon! lovely!
brilliant! have a wonderful holiday down there, nat – it’s such a beautiful part of the world! The best of holiday wishes for you and your family!
thank you so much, felicity – merry christmas!
Gorgeous scene, Nadine. Is this your beach? I don’t see how film could be over-sharpened, and this looks great to me!
hi jan – no, this beach is about 5 hours drive away – I was revisiting my January Landscape course images for any last possibles and don’t know why I overlooked this one at the time – probably because I had about a 1000. It’s quite possible to oversharpen film as I have it scanned in and then process it like any digital image but I only applied a neutral density filter to this one. I think. But fred is very good at this stuff – looking at it again I think I’ve darkened the sky too much. I’m going to start walking again soon on my beach and I’ll the new baby with me so I promise to show you some shots soon! You have been hanging out for it! have a wonderful Christmas with however many family members it turns out to be!xxx
Beautiful shot, the contrast of light captures the depth and uncertainty of the ocean and at the same time the beauty.
