Another shot of this amazing forest in Margaret River, Western Australia. Usually the trees are dappled with light but it was an overcast day and a different, softer image as a result. Taken with my Leica MP, 50mm noctilux lens, Velvia 100 film

What a beautiful forest, and how well it suits that frame you’ve chosen! Wonderful ‘greennees’, and ghostly trunks that seem to go on into the distance forever…
oh, georgie, you’re such a great ‘watcher’! don’t you ever sleep??? This is a lovely comment – that’s exactly what I wanted to say! thanks so much…
the forest is always a mythical place. Do you have legends and fairy-tales playing in forests? Probably they are different from our ones, where the forest is usually dark, (even black) sometimes cosy, but often dangerous … and has to do with eternity. Do you know, your Leica loves the forest, Germans do.
you’re so right – my leica demands to be fed a forest at least once a year! I am only just working out what it likes to ‘eat’! I try to keep it happy. Thanks for stopping by, thomas!
Your cohosts Cee and Chris
thanks so much, cee and chris!
I am amazed that without the sun this image is so striking. Very nice, Nadine!
thanks so much, pauli, and for the fav! very much appreciate your watch and support!
Lovely image Nadine. One often gets an excellent result without overhead sunlight (as opposed to the brilliant results of the slanted rays of sunrise and sunset).
thanks so much trish, and for the fav! so pleased you like this one!
I am waiting for little cute little trolls to peek out from behind the trees, this has such a magical feel to it..great work Nadine.
I wish I’d managed to cvatch one of the cute little trolls in shot! they were there of course, but feeling a bit shy. thanks, kim!
Splendid image, dear Nadine!
thank you, dear bela!
thank you, justart
It is a great creative image. It looks impressionistic and lifelike, the surface vibrates.
thanks so much, lorraine – much appreciated as always!
It is a lovely forest. I think it is better without strong sun,
thanks for commenting, fred – yes, the sun does make for challenges!
