I had noticed the exit sign reflection on the clock and was surreptiously taking shots of it. One of them accidentally included the colleague sitting opposite me and I liked the human element it adds. Thisone reminds me of Sartre’s ‘No Exit’. Sometimes, all-day meetings do that to me.

Nikon D700, 24-70mm lens @70mm, ISO1000, f/7.1, 1/6 sec, a pro contrast filter added in Nik Color Efex Pro

Top ten place in the Vague challenge in A Photographer’s Craft
Top ten place in the It’s Time challenge in Photography 101 and FEATURED IN PHOTOGRAPHY 101
I finally dared to put this in to the NEPG camera club competition and, although it wasn’t placed, I was delighted that the judge said, ‘it breaks all the rules but works really well’.

    Good seeing and taking.

  • thank you so much, fred – have to do something, eh? but it’s hard to be surreptitious with a Nikon D700!

LOL I love it that you can have your camera out in a meeting! Can I work there?

  • surreptitious camera work here, Pauli! The speaker was behind me. I couldn’t see him so I was assuming, like kids do, he couldn’t see me! I think I had the camera resting on the desk and was just pretending to be idly fiddling with it. Thanks so much for the fav for this rather odd one.
