ECU Joondalup Admin building closeup, north of Perth, Western Australia.

For some reason this image reminds me of the 20s. I was delighted when reviewing last year’s photos using the telephoto lens to discover this little closeup gem I had inadvertently passed over. I’ll post the full image below so you’ll see it wasn’t all that obvious!

Nikon D700, 70-200mm @100mm, ISO400, f/9, 1/500sec
cropped in photoshop – sometimes it’s all about the crop!

You got great eyes to pick this out, nice work!

  • well, i didn’t see it at first! but I was delighted when I did. This enforced period without taking many new images is teaching me a lot about the ones I previously rejected.

Good juxtaposed lines and curves, Nadine. A game for the eyes!

  • thanks so much, jan – it is a bit of a game to work it out. I tried it in b&w as, for once, even I can see this has tonal contrast but I quite like that beautiful blue

Oh Nadine I love this! Wonderful design…beautiful bold lines, silky blues, clouds and watery ripples in the reflections…(sigh of admiration)

  • oh, georgie, thanks so much! that’s exactly how I felt when I spotted it! came out of my study grinning so husband knew I’d found something I liked a lot!
