    Thanks GerryMac. I tried out Silver Efex Pro on this to get the textures The original image was very flat. Could probably have done it in Photoshop if I was good enough but the SEP software is much more userfriendly. I downloaded the trial version and now have to decide if I can afford to buy it. Glad you liked it.

    thanks trish – the software i used on this (silver efex pro) is the same one I used on the ‘reader by water’s edge’ that you also liked. I was using a trial version – am saving up to buy it!

    This could so easily be in Italy! Beautifully structured image accentuating full 3D with a combination of at least three effects – perspective, graduated curve shadow and occlusion of background by foreground elements. Fantastic – could be used for photographic instruction! Keith
