this is a beautiful shot that tells a sad story

I love this image. There is something very calming in the pose, light and capture that makes me appreciate this image first and most as a wonderful and evocative art. W/o seeing the person, the hands tell a life story, that only the person photographed can tell. There is a very peaceful feeling and yet it is very powerful. A fantastic addition to the Art of the Middle East group.

These are the hands that my poem (“Hands”) describes in the writing section – right down to the henna stained finger tips! (Of course, written way before seeing that picture). I got tears in my eyes when I saw this picture!

i have a soft spot for hands and have a big collection of photos of them that i’ve shot ,but this is exelent and i love it ! The only thing i dont like about it is that i didnt shoot it :)
