I have 3 basic categories of work here, because usually I work in 3 different kinds of media.

The first involves working mainly with textural mixed-media collage pieces, using a range of material ranging from wax and fabric remnants, to metal flakes, glass/mirror fragments, enamel paint and acrylic.

For me, the whole process of being artistically creative represents an inner process of transmutation and each piece is often reworked several times before I am happy with it.

I also work with paper collages. In the main, these are A4 in size and some of these are available here as cards or prints. This meanwhile, shows one of my entries for a limited edition of The Sketchbook Project digitised at Brooklyn Art Library: http://www.sketchbookproject.com/library/11342#...
My more recent work here continues in this vein.

Finally, I also make series of abstract colour drawings with pen and ink, or pen and ink with coloured pencils. Most of these are abstract, though I have designed a full colour deck of Tarot cards, the Chalice pack: some of these can be seen here and are available as either cards, prints or postcards – as are most of the other artworks I have on view here.

I am a self-taught artist, although I did also attend two two-year part-time courses during the 80’s, the first in Painting, the second in Crafts Materials. There, I had access to ceramics, fabrics and metal, but graduated onto glass fragments from smashed cars (I lived in an inner-city area).

My work is mainly abstract, though I did also design a full colour 78-deck of Tarot cards, the major cards of which were published by Adam Mc Clean. More recently I have made them available as a full 78-card pack via The Gamecrafter, at https://www.thegamecrafter.com/games/the-chalic...
