I’m orginally from Newfoundland, born and raised. In 1992, Newfoundland was looking very poor for me and my family. Fishery was suddenly shut down and I had no way to support my kids. So in 1993, we moved to Vancouver Island, where there was a fishery happening. All my life my income came mostly from the fishing industry, so it made sense to move to a place where we would fit in.
I was always very interested in photography, but my family came first.
My kids are grown now and on their own. Now it’s all about my life and my needs. I need to concenstrate on my photography. I appreciate all the support from my family, friends and strangers.
