This is a local nature reserve that is popular with bird spotters and photographers. My daughter took this image on her new Panasonic compact digital camera (7.2M pixels). She used a tripod and I have to say that the image is as good as any of the shots I took on my Fuji 602z at the same time (6M pixels).
The interesting thing is that the ‘raw images’ (not RAW) came out quite different in terms of levels etc, even though they were taken almost at the same time. I suppose it was due to the internal processing made by the individual cameras, akin to the different results from Kodak v Fuji film.
Anyway, I have promised her she can have whatever money this image generates in sales, so if you are stuck for choice between this an my ‘Tranquil Moment’ image please choose hers as it will encourage her greatly.
