Married with two teen age kids. Work part-time as a Charity Administrator. Mad about photography since a kid and interested in all sorts of things related to the arts (music, poetry, writing, 3d graphics etc). Worked in the past as a freelance photographer for a magazine (nursing), private clients and generally pursued photography just for the love of it.

Moved over from film to digital a few years ago, though still scanning thousands of slides from my film days. Guess ’ll be doing that until my dying day!

Have recently purchased the Samsung NX11 with 20 – 50mm lens. Took it on holiday to Italy with me and pretty impressed with it on the whole. Like most non-DSLR cameras it can be a bit slow at getting focus lock and it doesn’t cope with very low light too well.

Anyway, it has good reviews, its lighter and smaller than my daughter’s D3100 and so ideal for a holiday trip.
