Andrew Ness is an Edinburgh-based freelance photographer who specialises in landscape photography. Andrew was born in Tokyo and educated in Japan for the early part of his life and this instilled in him a passion for travelling and learning about different cultures and traditions. His travels all over the world have allowed him to develop a deep appreciation of dramatically different landscapes. Nevertheless, Andrew is always happy to return home to his beloved Scotland; for him, the unique beauty that his homeland offers makes photography just that little bit more enjoyable.

Coming from an I.T. background, Andrew has an avid interest in current camera technologies and the possibility of exploiting these technologies to produce striking images. He enjoys experimenting with new techniques and strives to create an original vision in each artwork.

Andrew first began sharing his work in February 2008 with an online art community. His images have proved popular and he has sold a number of prints through their website. Additionally, two of his photographs were published in the July 2009 edition of Scottish Field magazine. In March 2009, Blackhall Framing Gallery in Edinburgh expressed an interest in exhibiting a selection of works from Andrew’s portfolio.
