Touch Screen Pining

Upon a touch screen I caress,
Your photos kiss my fingers,
At least I get to see you now,
And emphasize your name,
With control and click,
Highlights from a distance,
Whenever I log in,
There you are again,
My pixilated beauty,
Shining through distortion,
Creatures of the web,
Are wont to leave remarks,
Such boring adjectives,
Strategically embossed,
Flaunting their proclivities,
Themselves to make distinct,
Credence mixed with fantasy,
To gain profane relief,
Through your images I glide,
Though I only view a few,
The ones where you’re alone,
And never next to him;
I hope today your status reads,
That at last you’re single.
