Harvest

It’s a annual pilgrimage of mine ,to visit all my mates in the countryside ,after the Harvest is done. All the wheat is cut and store in the Silos, and for a while ,the pace slows down, and most farmers have time to talk and recalled the year’s events ,the ever present drought ,their hopes and aspirations for the future ,the continuous change of the enviroment, and everything to do with Nature and Wildlife. We talk for few days, we drink a few beers ,we reminisce old times, and admire the ‘Sunburn Country’.Along the way I take a few photos, and although this time of the year is dry and ‘naked’, you always have a feeling, a sense of freedom, with it’s open space, and wide bue horizon,
and just like any season, summer has it’s own beauty in the Australian ‘Bush’ and I love it, love spending few days with my ‘Mates’ having barbeque’s among the cum trees, under the
Stars, and listening to the swisshh of the wildfowl landing in the
swamp…Another Harvest is over, frendships renew, photos taken ,Souls Revitalised, time to say MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MAY YOUR GOD BE WITH YOU.
