Even though I don’t do many portraits I do enjoy the discipline. It is an incredible challenge to try to capture the essence of a person as well as their looks.

    thankyou jordan, I’m pretty happy with it, though I dont do many portraits. I enjoy them at the time, and love the challenge and discipline involved, then need to break free with abstracts again!

    this is stunning! i dream of doing a very long maybe 3 m painting of faces painted like this with different expressions. i’ would keep the skin white and just have colours in the cheeks and lips and eyes and hair… but the detail and life likeness, well this is exactly how i wish i could paint those faces. She’s wonderful, well done!
